Become Your Own Master

Who's in control of your life right now? Or shall I say who do you think is in control of your life? Logically, we want to say that we are in control. Some of us may say that God is in control. But if we really thought about it, we could think of other people who we feel is having a strong influence on our life. Sometimes it's our overbearing parents, sometimes it's our very busy children, or our very demanding boss or work schedule. It's very hard to feel like you are in control of your life when you have others that you have obligations to, or people who pretty much force themselves into your daily life.

Growth is Intentional

A few years ago, on my Facebook page, I made a long, detailed post about a social issue (I don't remember what issue it was). What I usually do when I'm done making a post is drop a link to my book or website in my comment section for people who want to learn more from me on that particular topic or other topics. While I was dropping the link, I saw the little bubble come up that said, "Someone is typing a comment." I thought that someone was me, because I was the one typing a comment at the time. But then I dropped the link, and it still said, "Someone is typing a comment."

How to Choose the Right Social Media Guru

Coaches and gurus have taken over social media. We frequently come across a new "expert" on some subject, whether it be relationships, health, lifestyle, or anything in between. Some of these gurus have interesting or useful content, and some have a few services or products that look like they are worth trying. But with so many of them trying to sell their products to you, how do you know which ones are best for you? It seems easiest to go with the most popular, because they seemingly have the most to lose. Once someone has built up a large audience, they will be held accountable if they disappoint them by selling them mediocre products and services.
